Saturday 14 March: AGM, Linder Lecture, & Dinner
12 Noon – Check-in for those staying in the College dormitory
1.00 pm – 5.00 pm

• AGM with discussion of new Society ventures
• Coffee break
• Linder Lecture by Dr Penelope Bradshaw
Dr. Bradshaw is Senior Lecturer in English at the University of Cumbria in Ambleside. She is also Programme Leader of their new MA in Literature, Romanticism, and the English Lake District (featuring Beatrix Potter of course!)
7.00 pm – Welcome reception and 40thAnniversary Dinner: ‘Sharing Memories & Looking to the Future’
Sunday 15 March: A Full Day Out
09.30 am – 5.00 pm Travelling by minibus, we will enjoy:
The newly opened Jetty Museum on the shore of Lake Windermere, where among many historical items, we will see Beatrix and Willie’s rowing boat – the one they kept at Moss Eccles Tarn. We will also enjoy a light lunch.
Lambing time at Nibthwaite Grange, an award-winning Rare Breeds Farm near the southern end of Coniston Water and Site of Special Scientific Interest. See how this farm has embraced diversification as Beatrix encouraged.
A Traditional English Afternoon Tea at Gaddum’s restaurant at Brockhole, site of the National Park’s Visitor Centre and former home of Edith Gaddum, Beatrix’s first cousin – whom she often visited.

ACCOMMODATION: 10 single en-suite College dormitory rooms are available for £42 per night (bed and breakfast) from 13-16 March (These can be reserved for any or all nights – first come, first served).
