Our orders are environmentally packaged and securely dispatched by TFL, a professional fulfilment company based in Essex, at a very competitive rate using the UK’s Royal Mail service or an Air Business Courier.

Delivery to your address should be within 10 days, often much sooner. However, we ask you to appreciate that sometimes there are disruptions and forwarding difficulties to locations in the UK and overseas – especially if the parcel is not tracked or insured. For deliveries to the United States, we have now introduced a 10% surcharge on our merchandise as required by the US Government.

If your order is large in value (over £50) or TFL know there are delivery problems in your area/country, then we will hold its despatch until we have contacted you, using the email address you provided on your order form, with a quotation for an additional payment to securely track your order.

If you do not accept our advice to pay the additional charge, and you instruct us to go ahead anyway – and the parcel does not arrive – then we reserve the right to refuse a reimbursement or replacement.

Discount & Delivery

All prices shown are before the discount has been applied. They will be reduced when Members of the Society insert a password to the Coupon Code tab on the Cart page.

In the UK, your order will be delivered by the Royal Mail or, for Overseas orders, an international Air Courier service. Both are very reliable but are increasingly expensive, so we send your orders as untracked delivery.

However, if your order is valuable, by size or cost, or if your postal location experiences delivery problems, please contact bpsociety.sales@gmail.com for the price of having your order tracked.

The shipping prices for your orders are also calculated on the Cart page – by weight, and for one of 3 shipping zones: UK; Europe; and the Rest of the World.

Please allow up to 15 working days for delivery. (Delays are still occurring here Covid – 19 restrictions apply.)

Long before she became famous for her stories, Bea Long before she became famous for her stories, Beatrix Potter was deeply engaged in scientific illustration and the study of the natural world. This video explores this lesser-known side of Beatrix Potter, revealing how closely her art, science, and lifelong love of nature were intertwined. "Inspired by Beatrix" is a blog series on The Beat "Inspired by Beatrix" is a blog series on The Beatrix Potter Society’s website highlighting artists and creators who have been inspired by Beatrix Potter.

As we welcome the new year, our series of “Inspired by Beatrix” continues exploring the reach of Beatrix Potter’s influence, and this month we are featuring map maker and illustrator Bek Cruddace. Bek holds an MSc in Geographic and Geodetic Information Systems from University College London, and she is based in Hampshire in the UK. Her background in this field gives her a unique way of understanding time and place. It is this particular ability, and her extensive experience working on a broad range of mapping design projects, that have attracted the attention of many, including most recently the National Trust.

You can read this entry on our website. Simply click on New & Events > News (or visit the link in our story today).

Details have been shared for our upcoming AGM and Linder Lecture, taking place in London this March.

We have planned a wonderful weekend that includes a private lecture at Tate Britain, a private viewing of the original illustrations from The Tailor of Gloucester, as well as additional museum visits and guided tours.

We are delighted to welcome Dr Penny Bradshaw as our Linder Lecturer, who will be speaking about her new book, “An A-Z of Beatrix Potter.”

Following the Linder Lecture and AGM, members are welcome to gather for dinner- offering time to connect, enjoy conversation, and share the experience with fellow members in a welcoming setting.

Not yet a member? There is still time to join us and take part in this lovely weekend, either in person or virtually via Zoom.

It promises to be a memorable weekend of shared discovery, friendship, and celebration of the life and enduring legacy of Beatrix Potter. We would love for you to be part of it!
